Muan County in Jeonnam announced that Governor Kim San attended the 12th Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting (video conference) regarding the Jeju Air passenger plane accident, presided over by Acting President and Deputy Prime Minister Choi Sangmok, on the morning of the 7th, where he shared current issues and future plans.

View original imageHe continued, "As heavy snow and cold wave warnings are forecast until the 9th, do your best with snow removal so that the bereaved families and mourners are not inconvenienced, and prepare measures to keep the bereaved families warm." He particularly emphasized, "Since many county residents witnessed the accident scene and are experiencing trauma, I ask that psychological counseling and medical support be strengthened."
Meanwhile, Muan County has consolidated the airport shelter space into the second floor and completed disinfection and environmental maintenance for the bereaved families returning after the funerals.
Muan County plans to continue operating the on-site situation room at the airport even after the funerals to provide seamless support for the bereaved families, and will do its best in medical support, childcare services, and relief supplies management.
Donated goods from across the country will be distributed in consultation with the bereaved families, and the Hometown Love donations made immediately after the accident will be used for accident recovery and support for the bereaved families.
