Successful Re-election Following 20s, New 4-Year Term

Kang Hyung-mo, the president of the Korea Golf Association, has been successfully re-elected.
On the 6th, the Korea Golf Association announced, "The Election Management Committee held its 4th meeting on December 30 last year to review any disqualifications for candidate Kang Hyung-mo, who ran unopposed in the 21st presidential election, in accordance with relevant regulations. It was decided to officially announce Kang Hyung-mo as the final winner without a separate vote on the originally scheduled election date of the 6th." President Kang expressed his thoughts, saying, "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility. I will build an association with international competitiveness for a new leap forward in Korean golf."

President Kang was elected as the 20th president of the Korea Golf Association through a by-election in June 2023, and with this re-election, he will lead the association for another four years. He is currently the chairman of Yuseong Country Club. He was appointed as a director of the Korea Golf Association in 2004 and served as the full-time vice president from 2013 to 2021. He also served as a member of the International Golf Federation (IGF) and a director of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, strengthening Korea's international golf relations and supporting domestic players' overseas advancement. President Kang's official term begins on the 23rd, when the general assembly of delegates convenes.
