Uijeongbu-si Selects 132 Participants for Disabled Employment in 2025
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 6th that it has completed the selection of participants for the ‘2025 Disabled Employment Project’ aimed at promoting the economic independence and social participation of people with disabilities.
The Disabled Employment Project is a program that supports job opportunities for unemployed people with disabilities by selecting 132 disabled individuals through the city and entrusted institutions and placing them in organizations. The 2025 project placement includes 42 full-time positions, 18 part-time positions, and 72 welfare jobs.
The contract period is one year, from January 1 to December 31, 2025, with an hourly wage of 10,030 KRW applied for 2025.
Applicants who are not selected as participants will be given priority for selection in order of highest scores among waiting candidates of the same job type if mid-term vacancies occur in that job category.
Compared to last year, the city increased the full-time quota by 2, the part-time quota by 2, and welfare jobs by 6, and raised the budget by 164 million KRW to a total of 2.06 billion KRW.
Additionally, for unemployed people with disabilities, the city plans to conduct employment counseling and linkage in cooperation with related organizations such as the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, Uijeongbu Disabled Welfare Center, and the Uijeongbu Branch of the Association of the Physically Disabled.
