Non-Standing Members of the Korean Film Council Include Director Lee Jeong-hyang of 'Home...' and Others

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 6th that it has newly appointed six non-standing members to the Korea Film Council.
The appointees include Kang Naeyeong, Chairperson of the Busan Film and Video Policy Committee; Gil Jongcheol, Professor of Theater and Film at Hanyang University; Kim Jeonggi, Director at Sinjeong Accounting Corporation; Lee Jeonghyang, Film Director; Lee Hyunsong, CEO of SmartStudy Ventures; and Jo Hyejeong, Professor at the Graduate School of Arts, Chung-Ang University. Their terms will last three years, until January 2028.

A Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism official stated, "These appointments are due to the expiration of the previous members' terms," and introduced them as "experts who have been actively working in various fields of the film industry." The official added, "Candidates were recommended by film-related organizations, and a balanced consideration was given to expertise, insight, academic and field experience, gender, age, and other diverse factors."
