Gyeonggi-do to Provide 10 Million Won Settlement Fund to Independent Youth Starting This Year
Gyeonggi Province will provide 10 million won in settlement funds starting this year to support the economic independence and stable social settlement of youth preparing for independence who have left youth welfare facilities.
The one-time settlement fund is divided into two payments of 5 million won each over two years. Eligible recipients are out-of-home youth aged 18 or older who have been under protection in youth welfare facilities within the province for more than two years and have left the facility after January 1 of this year.
Applications for support can be made at any time through recommendations from youth shelters or youth independence support centers where the youth currently reside or last left.
