Damyang County Promotes Dissemination of New Agricultural Technologies
Support of 546 million won for 16 projects

View original imageDamyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byungno), is promoting a pilot project to distribute new agricultural technologies in order to increase farmers' income and quickly disseminate new technologies, with the aim of realizing a prosperous and wealthy rural community.
According to the county on the 3rd, a total of 546 million KRW will be provided for 16 new technology distribution projects, and applications for project participants will be accepted until February 3.
The county will support three projects in the rural resources sector, including a customized task support project for 4-H youth farmers; two projects in the human resources development sector, including field training support for new farmers; and a crop sector project to ensure stable rice production and pest control.
In the horticulture and specialty crops sector, three projects will be supported, including a pilot project for stable production of facility vegetables in response to abnormal high temperatures. In the livestock technology sector, six projects will be supported, such as a pilot project for installing air jet fans and side wall exhaust fans in cattle sheds, making a total of 16 projects.

Farmers wishing to participate should visit the agricultural counseling office in their town or the Agricultural Technology Center to consult on each project's implementation plan, then submit the application form and related documents between January 20 and February 3 by 6:00 p.m.
The final project participants will be selected through on-site evaluations and the Agricultural Industry-Academic Cooperation Deliberation Committee.
