The ‘Deulkkot Saegim’ professional volunteer group was established to sincerely accompany the deceased on their final journey and to practice the community’s responsibility and solidarity toward unclaimed persons. This activity marked the first step in a new volunteer area of public funerals and became an important opportunity to spread a culture of warm consideration for socially vulnerable groups.
The Yeongwol-gun Volunteer Center plans to continue creating a warm and inclusive community through various volunteer activities in the region, not only supporting unclaimed deceased individuals but also working together with the ‘Deulkkot Saegim’ professional volunteer group.
