Korea Investment & Securities forecasted on the 3rd that P&S Mechanics' performance will improve as it secures overseas sales channels.
Founded in 2003, P&S Mechanics developed the first walking rehabilitation robot system in Korea in 2011. It has secured core technologies such as patient-customized walking training pattern generation technology, wearable walking rehabilitation robot impedance control technology, and dynamic inverse load compensation technology. Based on its technological capabilities, it was the first in the world to apply an ankle joint drive system to a lower limb rehabilitation robot (Walkbot) and developed a walking rehabilitation training system. Since launching the adult S model in 2011, it has released the pediatric K model, global G model, and premium P model. Its main product, Walkbot, is a Class 3 medical device robot-assisted orthopedic exercise device, uniquely enabling training of three joints (hip joint, knee joint, ankle joint) globally.
Researcher Yoon Cheol-hwan of Korea Investment & Securities explained, "Sales began domestically in 2012," adding, "Since exporting to Spain in 2014, it currently exports to 15 countries including Russia, China, and Ukraine." He continued, "It has secured 27 business partners in 22 countries," and "has obtained 19 types of medical device certifications for 13 countries including European CE MDR, U.S. FDA, NRTL, China CFDA, and Russia GOST."
Researcher Yoon analyzed, "Due to the accelerating aging trend and shortage of therapists, the global rehabilitation robot market is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 27.2%," and "it is securing minimum order volumes through exclusive contracts with multiple overseas partners." He emphasized, "It has entered a high-growth phase through expansion of sales channels," and "the increase in sales from expanding overseas sales outlets will be significant."
It is estimated to achieve sales of 11.1 billion KRW and operating profit of 3.1 billion KRW this year, representing increases of 55.8% and 101.1%, respectively, compared to last year.
