AliExpress "Starting February Next Year, New Sellers Enjoy 0% Commission for 90 Days After Joining"
Announcement of New Commission Policy
Existing Tenants to Apply Industry's Lowest Commission from February 1
AliExpress announced on the 31st that it will implement a new fee policy starting February 1st next year.
AliExpress launched the Korea-exclusive product hall ‘K-Venue’ last October and is ending the fee exemption policy for sellers implemented at that time. Instead, it will apply a fee policy that differentiates between new and existing sellers. For existing sellers, the industry’s lowest level of fees will be applied starting February 1st next year. Newly registered sellers will be exempt from fees for 90 days, approximately three months, from the date of joining.
Additionally, for stores operated by small and medium-sized enterprises with an annual sales volume (GMV) of 500 million KRW or less, up to 50% of fees will be refunded for a maximum of one year. This benefit aims to help sellers reduce costs, secure sales, and expand sales channels.
The fee revenue will be reinvested to strengthen platform competitiveness and improve services for sellers and consumers. As the number of sellers and products is rapidly increasing due to the growth of K-Venue, the platform plans to enhance management capabilities and improve the service experience for both sellers and consumers.
Investment in sellers will continue as well. AliExpress plans to apply various subsidy benefits for sellers, such as the ‘100 Billion Festa,’ which provides shopping subsidies worth approximately 100 billion KRW in K-Venue.
