The previous day at 9:03 AM, a Jeju Air passenger plane carrying 181 passengers collided with the outer wall of the runway while landing at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do, then caught fire, resulting in a major disaster with 179 deaths. Authorities plan to collect the black boxes, including the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR), to investigate the exact cause of the accident.
