Two Injured and Dead After Collapsing While Cleaning Sewage Preliminary Treatment Plant... Accident Circumstances Under Investigation
Two workers collapsed while cleaning at a sewage preliminary treatment plant, and one of them died, prompting the police to launch an investigation into the accident.
According to the Masan Jungbu Police Station in Gyeongnam on the 28th, around 11 a.m. the previous day, two workers in their 60s, Mr. A and Mr. B, collapsed while cleaning at the sewage preliminary treatment plant in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon City.
It is presumed that they lost consciousness due to poisoning from toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide generated at the treatment plant.
Mr. A died from the accident, and Mr. B is receiving treatment at a hospital.
