Chuncheon City to Hold New Year's Midnight Bell-Ringing Event at City Hall Plaza
Music and Magic Performances by Local Artists Held Before Event
Chuncheon Citizen Awardees and Presidents of Chuncheon's 5 Universities' Student Councils Participate in Bell Ringing
Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) announced that it will hold a bell-ringing event for the sunset and sunrise from 8:00 PM on the 31st to 12:30 AM on the 1st at the City Hall Square.

View original imageThis sunset and sunrise bell-ringing event is designed as a program that people of all ages can enjoy together.
First, from 8:00 PM on the day of the event, a space where visitors can enjoy nostalgic snacks and get tarot readings will be operated. While waiting for the bell-ringing event, it is a great opportunity to satisfy hunger and check the New Year's fortune. All proceeds from this area will be donated as charity funds to help neighbors in need.
Additionally, a space featuring a record exhibition and a music DJ playing requested songs has been set up to evoke old memories.
From 10:00 PM, attendees can fully enjoy music performances by local artists, magic shows, and citizen-participatory mime performances. After the pre-event performances, the commemorative ceremony will proceed in the order of the year-end message, bell-ringing, and New Year's greetings.
The bell-ringing will include key guests, the recipients of the 42nd Chuncheon Citizen Award, and the presidents of the student councils from five universities leading the future of Chuncheon as an educational city.
To ensure a safe bell-ringing event, Chuncheon City plans to deploy safety management staff within the event venue and establish an on-site reporting and response system.
