Daejeon City to Provide Monthly Rent Support for 1,500 Young People... Up to 2.4 Million Won Per Year
Daejeon City announced that starting from the 24th, it will provide up to 2.4 million KRW in monthly rent support for one year to 1,500 selected recipients of the Daejeon Youth Monthly Rent Support Project for the second half of this year.
The city received applications from a total of 3,753 people through the recruitment notice in September, and selected 1,500 individuals who met the age, housing, and income requirements as beneficiaries of the Daejeon Youth Monthly Rent Support Project.
According to a satisfaction survey on the Daejeon Youth Monthly Rent Support Project conducted last year, 74.8% of respondents were "very satisfied" citing reasons such as "alleviation of housing cost burden and improvement of housing standards," and 69.2% responded that it "helps with housing stability."
Kim Nakcheol, Director of Education Policy Strategy at Daejeon City, said, "The increasing number of applicants for the Daejeon Youth Monthly Rent Support Project each year reflects the current desire for housing stability among local youth," and added, "We will continue to implement various policies to ensure housing stability for young people."
