View original imageHampyeong County in Jeonnam announced on the 24th that it held the regular concert of the Kkum Kium Dream Orchestra for local elementary and middle school students.
The regular concert, held on the 18th at the auditorium of Gisan Elementary School, was attended by about 130 people, including members of the Kkum Kium Dream Orchestra and their families.
The members of the Kkum Kium Dream Orchestra, who are students from elementary and middle schools, showcased their achievements through violin, viola, and cello string trios under the baton of conductor Choi Youngmi.
At the concert, about 40 members performed a total of eight pieces, including "Spring in Hometown," "From the New World," and "Ode to Joy," reflecting a year of effort and passion.
The Hampyeong Kkum Kium Dream Orchestra began in 2017 and currently consists of 40 members who are improving their skills every Wednesday at the Gisan Elementary School auditorium under the guidance of professional instructors.
Lee Sangik, the mayor of Hampyeong County, said, "The Kkum Kium Dream Orchestra plays an important role in the development of culture and arts in the Hampyeong area," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that it can grow into a leading cultural and arts group representing children in Jeonnam."
