Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, emphasized on the 23rd, "Although it is an impeachment crisis, the fields of science, technology, and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) are the core drivers of national growth, so we cannot afford to stop."

We will do our best to navigate this issue while minimizing the impact on the national economy, external credibility, and national losses."
Regarding President Yoon Seok-yeol's announcement of martial law, Minister Yoo said, "As a member of the State Council, I was quite surprised to encounter the martial law situation for the first time," and added, "It was hard to agree that martial law was absolutely necessary in this situation. The social impact was so great that I questioned, 'Was this the only way?'" He shared his feelings at the time.
He reiterated, "It is certain that various situations are urgent, but we will absorb the shock and resolve this issue while minimizing the impact on the national economy."
Furthermore, Minister Yoo expressed his determination to maintain a policy of minimal government intervention but to respond decisively if situations arise where citizens suffer damages. As an example, he mentioned the incident where the home shopping channel 'CJ OnStyle' stopped broadcasting its channel to three cable TV companies?D'Live, Areum Broadcasting, and CCS Chungbuk Broadcasting?from midnight on the 5th.
