HYBE to Apply 'Face Pass' for Artist Performances Next Year... Easy Entry for Audience
Immediate Entry to Venue with Pre-Registered Face Recognition
Existing Identity Verification Booths Also Operated Concurrently
Starting next year, HYBE artists' concert attendees will be able to enter venues easily using only facial recognition.
HYBE announced on the 23rd that it will apply Interpark Triple's 'Face Pass' to TWS (Tours)'s '2025 TWS 1ST FANMEETING 42:CLUB IN SEOUL,' held over three days from February 14 to 16 at the Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
Face Pass is a service that allows quick entry to the venue by replacing identity verification with facial recognition alone, without the need for separate ID or ticket checks. It is a method where Viva Republica, the operator of the mobile financial service 'Toss,' provides facial entry service applied to Interpark Triple's Interpark Ticket platform.
Earlier, HYBE signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in August with Toss and Interpark Triple to develop and expand solutions applying facial authentication technology.
At this TWS fan meeting, attendees can freely choose whether to use Face Pass. If an attendee who wishes to use Face Pass has already registered with Toss's facial entry service, they can purchase tickets on Interpark Ticket without separate facial registration.
If they have no prior experience, they can register their face through Interpark Ticket's 'Face Pass' before entering the venue. On the day of the event, facial recognition via cameras installed at the entrance gates will allow quick entry without additional verification.
Attendees who do not wish to register their face can proceed with the usual identity verification process at a designated booth on-site, including ID and ticket checks.
