Yangju-si Holds '2024 Lifelong Education Council Regular Meeting'
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it held the '2024 Lifelong Education Council Meeting' on the 20th at the city hall situation room, attended by Mayor Kang Su-hyun and eight members of the Lifelong Education Council.

Experts from various fields and institutions related to lifelong education gathered in one place to discuss strategies and visions to provide better lifelong learning opportunities to local residents.
This year, the city established the 1st Mid- to Long-term Development Plan for Lifelong Learning Cities and received an evaluation from the Ministry of Education on the city’s lifelong education projects over the past three years, achieving the meaningful result of being re-designated as a lifelong learning city.
Based on this, the 2025 Yangju City Lifelong Education Implementation Plan is known to have established numerous new projects to discover policies and projects for the development of regional lifelong education and to guarantee citizens’ learning rights.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “Based on the discussions in this meeting, we plan to concretize lifelong learning policies and programs by next month and officially implement them from early next year. We will continue to provide various lifelong learning opportunities to Yangju citizens and further improve the lifelong education environment.”
