LG Uplus Experiences Access Disruption Due to Intermediary Business Issues... Restored After 15 Hours
LG Uplus users experienced temporary disruptions accessing sites such as Discord and Namuwiki.
According to industry sources on the 21st, LG Uplus users encountered issues accessing overseas sites like Discord, Namuwiki, and ChatGPT from 8 PM the previous day until 11:20 AM on the 21st.
This was determined to be due to an internal problem with an internet intermediary operator, not an issue with the LG Uplus network.
The internet intermediary operator is responsible for delivering services managed by the global network operator (CDN) Cloudflare within South Korea. LG Uplus explained that problems with this operator caused disruptions in accessing sites using Cloudflare.

LG Uplus stated in a notice on their homepage, "The issue occurred due to routing changes by the CDN operator," and added, "Intermittent bottlenecks occurred between the internet intermediary operator and the CDN operator segments, causing partial service access disruptions, but recovery has now been completed."
