Kakao Appoints Shin Jong-hwan as CFO and Head of Finance for CA Council
Kakao announced on the 20th that it has newly appointed Shin Jong-hwan, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the head of finance for the group control tower CA Council.
Going forward, Shin will serve as the group CFO, supporting the overall financial soundness review and improvement across the Kakao group in addition to his CFO duties.
The company stated that Shin was newly appointed as the CA Council representative to review financial issues across the group and strengthen the financial management system. After working at an accounting firm, Shin joined CJ Group and has served as a finance executive across CJ’s holding company and multiple affiliates for over 20 years.

The CA Council now consists of five specialized committees ? the Management Innovation Committee, Strategy Committee, Brand Communication Committee, ESG Committee, and Responsible Management Committee ? along with an overall council leadership and finance oversight system.
