Two-Day Exhibition and Briefing for Teachers and Students

Experience AI Digital Textbooks with Developer-Specific Presentations

Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the ‘AI Digital Textbook Explanation and Exhibition’ event over two days on the 20th and 21st at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1, targeting teachers, education professionals, students, parents, and citizens in preparation for the introduction of AI digital textbooks next year.

This event aims to support the on-site establishment of AI digital textbooks, scheduled to be introduced in March next year, by allowing participants to directly experience the textbooks and explore new educational directions using them.

The Busan Office of Education will operate the event with policy guidance on AI digital textbooks, digital textbook experiences for English, Math, and Information subjects for 3rd and 4th graders in elementary school, 1st graders in middle school, and 1st graders in high school, as well as explanations from developers.

The event will open with a keynote lecture by Moon Seong-won, senior teacher at Dongbaek Elementary School, titled ‘Understanding the Policy on the Introduction of AI Digital Textbooks and Digital-Based Educational Innovation for a Teacher-Led Classroom Revolution.’

Following this, explanation sessions will be held by 12 companies, including Cheonjae Education, which developed the AI digital textbooks. These companies will explain lesson design and utilization methods of the AI digital textbooks and assist participants in experiencing the textbooks.

This explanation and exhibition event is expected to greatly help the smooth on-site establishment of AI digital textbooks by allowing participants to directly experience and communicate changes in future classrooms through new educational challenges and task exploration.

Kim Hyun-gu, Director of the Digital Future Education Division at the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “This explanation and exhibition will serve as an opportunity for students, parents, and citizens to properly recognize AI digital textbooks,” adding, “We hope this event becomes a place for communication and sharing regarding the overall operation of AI digital textbook policies and utilization methods.”
