Opening of Pusan National University Joint Research Center, Presenting Directions for Marine and Fisheries
Pusan National University (President Choi Jae-won) has partnered with the Korea Maritime Institute to promote education and research in the marine and fisheries sector.
On the afternoon of the 17th, Pusan National University announced on the 18th that it signed a memorandum of understanding and held an opening ceremony for a joint research center of the two institutions in the first conference room on the 5th floor of the university headquarters.

View original imageThrough this memorandum of understanding and the opening of the joint research center, the two institutions plan to present directions for the development of the marine and fisheries sector in academia and industry by △ enhancing marine knowledge and understanding of marine and fisheries policies △ contributing to the activation of employment and entrepreneurship in related fields through nurturing marine and fisheries talents △ creating academic achievements and industrial development in the marine and fisheries sector through human and material convergence, and establishing academic-research regional cooperation models.
They will promote the expansion of academic-research cooperation, mutual development of the two institutions, and the creation of new cooperation methods for the advancement of the marine and fisheries sector. In this process, they agreed to support research in their respective specialized fields and cooperate to enhance their capabilities and status as a global think tank.
