Indian K-Beauty Platform 'Macaron' Surpasses 1 Million Cumulative Customers
Skincare Category Sales Increased by 73% Year-on-Year
Blimong Kids announced on the 18th that the cumulative number of app customers for Macaron, India's K-beauty e-commerce platform, has surpassed 1 million.
Macaron, which entered the Indian market in 2019, is India's largest K-beauty platform offering over 380 brands such as COSRX and Joseon Beauty, with more than 18,000 products. The cumulative number of Macaron's customers has steadily increased, reaching 1.03 million last November, marking approximately 53% growth compared to the previous year.
With the recent growing interest in K-beauty, sales of beauty products on Macaron in the third quarter also increased by an average of 200%. In particular, sales in the skincare category showed remarkable growth, increasing by 73% compared to the previous year.
This growth was driven by Macaron's AI-based hygiene approval system developed in-house. Macaron shortened the hygiene approval certification period, which previously took more than six months, to less than 45 days, helping domestic beauty brands enter the Indian market quickly.
