Hong Nampyo, the mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, who was prosecuted for violating the Public Official Election Act, was sentenced to 6 months in prison with a 1-year probation in the second trial.
The Criminal Division 1 of the Changwon Branch of the Busan High Court delivered a guilty verdict to Mayor Hong on the afternoon of the 18th.
