Since the appointment ceremony in April, they have formed the "Dreaming Seo-gu Office" organization (6 divisions) together with the Seo-gu Youth Center, carrying out various activities such as youth participatory budget applications, participation in district projects (barefoot walking, plogging, etc.), capacity-building workshops, and operating a policy basket.
The child policy proposal meeting was held with about 80 participants including the 9th Youth District Participation Group, guardians, and policy mentors. The meeting featured policy proposal presentations by each division of the Youth District Participation Group and responses from Mayor Kim I-gang.
A representative of the Youth District Participation Group said, "At first, we doubted whether our voices could be proposed as policies, but through this activity, we learned that we can express our opinions as important members of society," and added, "We ask to create a 'Kind Seo-gu' where not only schools but also families and all residents of the community listen to youth opinions and communicate freely."
Mayor Kim I-gang, who attended the proposal meeting, introduced the child-friendly policies currently being implemented in Seo-gu and took time to communicate by conveying plans that actively incorporate children's perspectives.
