BTS Jungkook's 'Golden' Ranks 80th in US 'Billboard 200' Year-End Chart
Stray Kids Prove Their Strength by Topping the Album Charts with Two Releases
K-pop artists such as BTS’s Jungkook and Stray Kids once again demonstrated their global influence on the 2024 US Billboard Year-End Charts.
According to the year-end charts released by Billboard on the 13th (local time), BTS member Jungkook’s first solo album, Golden, ranked 80th on the main album chart, the Billboard 200. This is the highest ranking among Korean singers, including both groups and solo artists, highlighting Jungkook’s unparalleled popularity.
Stray Kids also drew attention by placing two albums on the chart. Their 8th mini album Rockstar (樂-STAR) ranked 123rd, and their 9th mini album ATE ranked 139th.
ENHYPEN entered the Billboard 200 year-end chart for the first time with their 2nd full-length album ROMANCE: UNTOLD, ranking 196th.
Another BTS member, Jimin, appeared on the chart at 200th place with his 2nd solo album MUSE. Thus, the only K-pop solo artists on the Billboard year-end chart are Jungkook and Jimin.
Jungkook not only ranked on the album chart but also achieved the highest position among K-pop singers on the year’s Top Artists list, which is calculated by combining performances on the main singles chart, the Hot 100, and other factors, placing 60th. Stray Kids also proved their steady global popularity by ranking 73rd on this chart.
American singer-songwriter Teddy Swims’ Lose Control took the top spot on the Hot 100 Songs year-end chart, while Taylor Swift’s 11th full-length album The Tortured Poets Department topped the Billboard 200 year-end chart. Swift also ranked first on the Top Artists list, making 2024 her best year yet.
