Gwangju Sarang Nanum Community Successfully Completes 'Love Briquette Sharing' Event

The briquette sponsorship, conducted on the 14th with about 80 volunteers, was carried out with sponsorship funds collected from various sources including Chonnam National University, Chuljang Buffet Dae-ga, Kumyoung ENC Co., Ltd., Taeshin Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., Gwangju Eunseong Church, Chorok Senior Welfare Center, Jeonnam Freight Truck Transport Business Association, Sangmu Su Dental Clinic, Seoul Ewha Real Estate Agency, and individual sponsors.
The briquettes prepared through the sponsorship were delivered to heating-vulnerable neighbors in the region, totaling 7,800 briquettes.
Ju Jae-hwan, representative of Gwangju Sarang Nanum Community, said, "We selected households that fear the cold, households in need of warm hands, and households facing a bleak winter, and delivered to those in urgent need," adding, "We hope that a little warmth will be conveyed to our neighbors facing winter."
Kim Dae-gon, CEO of Taeshin Heavy Industries, said, "I wanted to be a help that is truly necessary in our lives. Although it was a small effort, delivering briquettes to elderly people in the welfare blind spots warmed the hearts of all colleagues involved," and added, "We will continue to strive to expand sharing activities together with the local community."
