Seoul City Holds Countermeasure Meeting for Impeachment Rally
Comprehensive Inspection of Traffic, Crowd Control, and Convenience Facilities
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon presided over a countermeasure meeting at City Hall on the 14th to ensure safety management for the impeachment vote-related rallies held in Yeouido and Gwanghwamun.
The meeting was attended by key department heads from major sectors including the 1st and 2nd Deputy Mayors for Administration, Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs, Disaster and Safety Office, Transportation Office, Autonomous Police Committee, Citizen Health Bureau, Digital City Bureau, Balanced Development Headquarters, and Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
The meeting conducted a comprehensive review of preparations such as traffic, crowd management, and convenience facilities to ensure the safety and convenience of citizens participating in the rallies.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Oh said, "As more people are expected to gather than last week, we are reviewing the preparations once again," adding, "With the mature civic consciousness that has prevented a single safety accident so far, Seoul City will do its best to ensure that today's rally concludes safely as well."
He continued, "Please maintain vigilance until the end to ensure that citizens participating in the rally in the cold weather can return home safely and comfortably, and make thorough preparations for dispersal and traffic measures."
