The 'Yoon Seok-yeol Insurrection Investigation Team (Investigation Team),' an internal body of the Democratic Party of Korea, has claimed that former Intelligence Command Commander Noh Sang-won should be arrested. According to the Investigation Team, former Commander Noh is known to have a close relationship with former Minister of National Defense Kim Yong-hyun, and the two reportedly communicated several times during the December 3 emergency martial law incident.
Park Seon-won, a Democratic Party lawmaker and secretary of the Investigation Team, stated at a meeting held at the National Assembly on the afternoon of the 14th, "The 'insurrection conspiracy' that began in March is gradually being revealed," and asserted, "It has been uncovered that former Commander Noh played a key role in planning and attempting to mobilize Intelligence Command troops during the December 3 emergency martial law incident." He added, "Former Commander Noh remained active around the Intelligence Command even after his discharge," and "According to recent tips received by the Investigation Team, former Minister Kim and former Commander Noh share a very close personal relationship."
