Dongseong Hwa Intech announced on the 13th that it has obtained the Approval in Principle (AIP) certification from the Norwegian classification society DNV for the fuel tank of a Suezmax-class ammonia-powered ship.

View original imageIn April, Dongseong Hwa Intech decided to jointly develop a Suezmax-class ammonia-powered ship with Daehan Shipbuilding and Panasia, and began developing the fuel tank for the vessel. With this, following the existing LNG fuel tank, the company has developed an ammonia fuel tank, thereby securing next-generation eco-friendly fuel storage and usage technology.
