Gyeonggawon to Hold 'Si-Gun Startup Development Support' Performance Sharing Meeting in Anyang on the 12th
Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency held the ‘2024 Startup Innovation Space Southwest Region Open Ground (City/County Startup Support Project) Performance Sharing Meeting’ on the 12th at the Gyeonggi Startup Innovation Space Southwest Region located in Anyang.
This performance sharing meeting was organized to share the achievements in discovering and nurturing startups in four cities/counties?Anyang, Uiwang, Gunpo, and Gwacheon?and to discuss the sustainability of the startup ecosystem.
Open Ground focuses on promoting collaboration among private companies, public institutions, and startups, and on newly establishing the Gyeonggi-do startup ecosystem.
Starting with recruiting participating companies in August last year, the program ran for five months, discovering and nurturing 20 promising startups and laying the foundation for innovative growth.

View original imageAbout 80 people attended the event, including representatives from the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, local governments of the four cities/counties, the Industrial Promotion Agency, university-industry cooperation groups, major large corporations, and investment firms.
The first session of the event was an Investment Round (IR) Demo Day. Ten startup companies presented their business items and visions, emphasizing their technological capabilities and market potential.
The second part focused on the collaboration achievements between large corporations and startups.
In the final session, a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) signing ceremony between startups and large corporations was held, establishing a foundation to enhance the continuity of collaboration.

Baey Sang-sang, Head of the Gyeonggi-do Venture Startup Division, said, "This performance sharing meeting was an opportunity to confirm the technological capabilities and growth potential of startups in the southwest region of Gyeonggi-do," adding, "We will continue to activate the collaboration ecosystem between startups and large corporations and strengthen policy support to realize creative ideas."
