"Expanding Cargo Focus on the Americas"… Air Premia Hosts Event for Cargo Companies
Expansion of Cargo Sales Next Year with Additional Air Units
Air Premia announced the expansion of its cargo transportation centered on the United States by adding more aircraft.
On the 13th, Air Premia emphasized this while holding an appreciation event for domestic cargo transportation industry stakeholders near its headquarters in Gangseo-gu, the day before.
At the event, Yoo Myung-seop, CEO of Air Premia, shared the achievements of the cargo business so far and presented the future vision. He explained the expansion of cargo transportation focused on the Americas through the four additional aircraft to be introduced next year and urged for stronger collaboration.
Previously, Air Premia started its 'belly cargo' business, which loads goods under passenger aircraft, in 2021 before beginning passenger transportation. Currently, it operates on six routes including Los Angeles (LA), New York, San Francisco, Bangkok, Narita, and Barcelona, and conducts cargo business on over 90 routes worldwide through interline connections linking aircraft transfers. Next year, it plans to add two major cities in the Americas starting with Hong Kong and Da Nang.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Aviation Information Portal System, as of last month, Air Premia's cargo transportation volume totaled 34,108 tons, a 23.8% increase compared to the same period last year. From the second half of this year, the cargo business division was reorganized into the Cargo Business Team, Cargo Sales Team, and Cargo Transportation Team to refine the personnel structure.
