Goyang-si Completes Todang No.1 Public Parking Lot... Contributing to Solving Parking Shortage
Free Trial Operation from the 23rd, Paid Service Starting January Next Year
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 13th that it has completed the construction of Todang No. 1 Public Parking Lot in the area of Todang-dong 858, which has suffered from chronic parking difficulties due to densely populated residential areas.
Todang No. 1 Public Parking Lot consists of a total of 70 parking spaces, including 3 for the disabled, 4 for compact cars, 4 for electric vehicles, and 59 expanded spaces. To improve the urban environment, shrubs were planted and the pavement was made with grass blocks, creating an eco-friendly parking lot.
Entrusted to Goyang Urban Management Corporation, the parking lot will be operated free of charge on a trial basis starting from the 23rd, and from January next year, it will be operated as a paid service from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.
Parking fees will be charged according to the "Goyang City Parking Lot Installation and Management Ordinance" at the rate for Off-street Grade 2 areas: 500 KRW for the first 30 minutes, 100 KRW for every 5 minutes thereafter, and 6,000 KRW per day.
