Police Obtain Search Warrants for Special Forces and Suvangsah... Prosecution Did Not Request
The police are facing setbacks in their investigation as the prosecution has not requested search warrants applied for in connection with the 'December 3 Emergency Martial Law Incident.'
According to the Special Investigation Unit of the National Police Agency on the 11th, search warrants were applied for the Presidential Office, National Police Agency, Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, National Assembly Security Service, Special Warfare Command, and Capital Defense Command. However, the prosecution did not request warrants for the Special Warfare Command and Capital Defense Command.
Under current law, due to the adjustment of investigative authority between the prosecution and police, only the police can investigate the crime of rebellion. However, the High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HOCI), prosecution, and police are currently competing over the investigation of the emergency martial law incident.
