Busan Regional Veterans Office Holds 'Busan Jeonja Gonggo 6·25 War Veteran Hero Memorial Unveiling Ceremony'
The Busan Regional Veterans Office (Director Lee Nam-il) held an unveiling ceremony for the "Busan Electronics Technical High School 6.25 War Veteran National Defense Hero Memorial" on the 10th at Busan Electronics Technical High School (Principal Ha Tae-hyun) located in Dongnae-gu.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by about 600 people, including Lee Nam-il, Director of the Busan Regional Veterans Office, Jang Jun-yong, Mayor of Dongnae-gu, Tak Young-il, Chairman of the Dongnae District Council, heads of veterans organizations, alumni, and current students of Busan Electronics Technical High School. The event proceeded in the order of welcome speeches, commemorative speeches, congratulatory speeches, reading of a thank-you letter by a student, singing of the school anthem, and the unveiling ceremony.
This memorial is engraved with the names of 50 veterans from Busan Electronics Technical High School who participated in the 6.25 War as soldiers and student soldiers, dedicating themselves to protecting the nation when its existence was at risk. It is made of granite measuring 3 meters in width, 2 meters in height, and 0.85 meters in depth.
