The agenda included △ presentation on LH’s consignment and entrustment project implementation plan △ commencement report of the service △ collection of opinions from external experts, among others.
Previously, the "Namyangju Hydrogen City" was selected for the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s support project last year, and the city signed a business agreement and consignment and entrustment agreement with Korea Land and Housing Corporation in January.
At this meeting, plans to produce eco-friendly hydrogen using biogas and to establish a hydrogen supply chain based on this were discussed. In particular, the main goal was set to create a hydrogen economic zone through a hydrogen shipping center along with hydrogen energy utilization projects that residents can directly experience.
Deputy Mayor Hong Ji-seon stated, “The hydrogen city development project is a core project for the sustainability of Namyangju City,” and urged, “Let us all cooperate to realize carbon neutrality and build a foundation for Namyangju to lead the hydrogen economy.”
