Pocheon-si Selected for 'Encouragement' in Crisis Neighbor Discovery and Public-Private Cooperation Evaluation
Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 11th that it received the Encouragement Award in the 2024 ‘Gyeonggi-do Crisis Neighbor Discovery and Public-Private Cooperation Excellent City/County Evaluation’ hosted by Gyeonggi Province.
The Gyeonggi-do Crisis Neighbor Discovery and Public-Private Cooperation Excellent City/County Evaluation is conducted annually targeting 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, aiming to activate the discovery of crisis neighbors and strengthen public-private cooperation.
In Pocheon City, 299 members of the Eup/Myeon/Dong Community Security Council and 866 honorary social welfare officers are active. The city was highly recognized for its efforts in discovering crisis neighbors and establishing a human safety net through the operation performance of the Community Security Council and honorary social welfare officers, as well as integrated case management.
The prize money of 3 million KRW awarded for the Encouragement Award selection will be used to strengthen the capacity for discovering crisis neighbors.
