Lee Seunghwan, Will He Join the Candlelight Rally?..."No Guarantee"
"There Must Be at Least a Minimal Sound System"
Singer Lee Seunghwan donated 12.13 million won to a rally calling for the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, hinting at his appearance at a candlelight protest.
On the 9th, Lee Seunghwan posted on his Instagram, "Friday in Yeouido, nothing is confirmed yet," adding, "I don't need any guarantee fee, but there must be a minimum sound system that I can accept by my standards. A sound enthusiast can demand that much, right?"

Lee Seunghwan has criticized President Yoon for the emergency martial law declared on the 3rd, the first nationwide emergency martial law in 44 years, and the rejection of the impeachment motion in the National Assembly on the 7th.
On the 7th, when the impeachment vote was canceled, Lee also voiced criticism on his social media, saying, "'People Power' party members, I saw clearly how you willingly become accomplices to treason. Are you pleased? You must be proud and satisfied with your power to instantly betray the will of nearly 80% of democratic citizens who want the president impeached."
He added, "I hope the impeachment will definitely happen this coming Saturday." He also disclosed that he transferred 12.13 million won to the Candlelight Action, a progressive civic group leading the movement to oust the Yoon Seok-yeol government.
