Incheon Bupyeong-gu, Top Policy Project Evaluation... Secures 740 Million Won Incentive
On the 10th, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon announced that it secured 739 million KRW in financial incentives from the 2024 Incheon Special Adjustment Grant.
The district received this incentive by achieving the best performance among 10 districts and counties in Incheon’s evaluation of special adjustment grant policy projects. The city evaluated the performance of districts and counties in six policy project areas and distributed grants according to their rankings.
Bupyeong-gu received incentives including 500 million KRW for ranking first in local finance rapid execution, 50 million KRW for first place in increasing delegated non-tax revenue, 147 million KRW for second place in automobile tax arrears settlement, and 42 million KRW as a commendation for an excellent case in financial innovation (local tax arrears collection). This accounts for 22.4% of Incheon’s total allocation.
In particular, as of the end of last month, the district executed 1.0788 trillion KRW (85.1%) out of a budget of 1.2676 trillion KRW, ranking first in the local finance rapid execution category. Local finance rapid execution is a system designed to improve budget execution efficiency and promote regional economic revitalization.
To ensure systematic budget execution, the district analyzed major projects by department from the beginning of the year and conducted monthly checks on the execution status of large-scale projects exceeding 500 million KRW. Through this, they identified reasons for any underperformance and sought solutions, focusing on managing the financial execution status, which was reflected in their achievements.
