Gyeonggi Paju City (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 10th that the relocation of the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency to Paju is proceeding as scheduled.
On the 9th, Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju confirmed through his Facebook that “After directly verifying with the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Governor’s Office, it was confirmed that the relocation plan of the Economic Science Promotion Agency to Paju is progressing without any setbacks,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure the relocation can be completed promptly, supported by the hopes and encouragement of Paju citizens.”
Paju City expects that this relocation of the Economic Science Promotion Agency will greatly contribute not only to the development of northern Gyeonggi but also to the local economy and job creation. Mayor Kim emphasized, “As the citizens of Paju have united in support and encouragement, we will spare no administrative support to ensure the relocation proceeds smoothly.”

As a result, major institutions such as the Gyeonggi Environment Energy Promotion Agency (Gimpo) and Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation (Yangju) have completed their relocations, and the Economic Science Promotion Agency plans to gradually relocate to Paju starting in 2025.
Paju City anticipates that with the Economic Science Promotion Agency’s relocation proceeding as planned, it will create a foundation for the growth of various industries and companies within the region.
A Paju City official stated, “With this relocation as an opportunity, Paju will establish itself as the economic hub of northern Gyeonggi,” and requested continuous interest and cooperation from citizens.
