On the morning of the 9th, Yangsan City in Gyeongnam held a countermeasure meeting at the city hall situation room attended by about 40 people including heads of departments and offices, officers in charge, and heads of relevant departments to minimize the impact on the low-income economy and vulnerable groups due to recent political instability.

First, to fully respond to protect people's livelihoods amid the unstable political situation, the meeting closely examined price volatility of essential daily goods and food items as part of price stabilization measures, prepared countermeasures for price stabilization, established support plans for local small businesses and small merchants, strengthened support for small and medium enterprises, and implemented financial support measures for SMEs to mitigate export declines caused by exchange rate fluctuations, focusing on livelihood economic stabilization measures to revitalize the local economy.
Additionally, as support measures for vulnerable groups, the meeting called for expanding emergency living and medical expense support programs for households facing sudden economic difficulties, strengthening welfare counseling services to establish a rapid support system, expanding temporary job creation projects to alleviate short-term employment instability such as employment stabilization and income support, and providing customized counseling services for citizens experiencing psychological anxiety, urging much attention and support for vulnerable groups.
