Yeoju Sejong Culture and Tourism Foundation (Chairman Lee Soon-yeol) announced on the 9th that it will hold an awards ceremony and exhibition for the winning entries of the '2024 Yeoju Cultural Photo Contest,' themed around the '2024 Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival.'

The exhibition will be held on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Empty House Art Space until the 14th, and the awards ceremony will take place on the 10th during the exhibition period.

This contest was organized to promote Yeoju’s agricultural and specialty products and culture nationwide, centered on Yeoju’s representative festival, the Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival.

A total of 515 works were submitted from October 21 to 31, and after a fair evaluation by external experts, 16 outstanding works were selected, including ▲ Go Mi-seon’s “Hope” (Gold Prize), ▲ Park Kyung-sook’s “Victory of Hwangryong” (Silver Prize), ▲ Jung Eun-young’s “Even When It Rains” (Silver Prize), and ▲ Oh Geon-ho’s “Sweet Potato Guinness” (Bronze Prize).

The selected works were praised for deeply expressing Yeoju’s charm by capturing the festival’s joyful atmosphere and lively scenes through various perspectives and colors.

Since its inception in 2020, the 'Yeoju Cultural Photo Contest' has played an important role in promoting Yeoju’s culture and tourism resources in connection with Yeoju’s representative festivals. This year’s winning works will also be used as tourism promotional materials to introduce Yeoju’s agricultural and specialty products and culture nationwide.
