It was reported that 3,007 filmmakers including Director Park and 81 film organizations participated in the statement. They said, "During President Yoon's administration, we filmmakers have pointed out the unfairness of the government's one-way film budget plan. The budget plans of the Film Promotion Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which are authorized by law, were wrecked by Yoon Seok-yeol's one-way tyranny," adding, "The primary prerequisite to overcome the current chaotic situation and restore the fallen status of the Republic of Korea is to suspend President Yoon's duties. If impeachment is the fastest way, it should be chosen, and if there are other ways to dismiss him, the quickest path should be found."
The National Assembly proceeded with a vote on the impeachment motion against President Yoon in a plenary session, but only 195 out of 300 members participated, failing to meet the quorum for resolution. For the impeachment motion to pass, two-thirds of the total members, 200, must agree, but most People Power Party lawmakers left without participating in the vote. The vote included 192 opposition lawmakers including those from the Democratic Party, and only People Power Party lawmakers Kim Sang-wook, Kim Ye-ji, and Ahn Cheol-soo participated. In response, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, stated in an emergency position, "By Christmas and the year-end holidays, we will definitely restore this country to normal and give it back as a Christmas year-end gift." It is reported that the Democratic Party is currently considering reintroducing the impeachment motion every week.
