Domestic Cybersecurity Companies Hold 'Joint Corporate Briefing'... "Reevaluating the Value of the Security Industry"
Four domestic cybersecurity companies announced on the 9th that they will hold the ‘2024 Cybersecurity Corporate Day’ on the 10th of this month at NH Financial Tower, Park One, Yeouido, targeting domestic institutional investors and PBs (Private Bankers). This is the second cybersecurity joint corporate briefing (IR) following the first half of this year, sponsored by NH Investment & Securities.
This briefing aims to re-evaluate the value of the security industry and enhance investors’ understanding of security companies. A total of four security companies?△Ginians △Fasoo △Hunezion △SGA Solutions?will participate.
These four companies, leading in various fields such as network and endpoint security, data security and management, network interconnection and access control, zero trust, and system security, will provide detailed presentations on their latest business status, business models, and mid-to-long-term growth strategies. There will also be a session for real-time interaction with investors.
As the scale of damage from global cyberattacks has surged recently, cybersecurity has become a necessity rather than a choice. Especially with the emergence of new types of threats such as AI-based cyberattacks, and the increasing sophistication and intelligence of attacks, the importance of cybersecurity is further emphasized.
To respond to this environment, the government is providing various supports to expand the cybersecurity market, including strengthening information protection regulations and expanding mandatory industry-specific security regulations. Efforts are also being made to establish a domestic cyber defense strategy. These government supports highlight growth opportunities for domestic security companies. As a result, the cybersecurity market is expected to become a core industry that strengthens the national economy and corporate competitiveness.
Shim Eui-seop, Chief Researcher at NH Investment & Securities, said, “Although the importance of the global cybersecurity industry continues to increase, the domestic security sector is still somewhat undervalued,” adding, “Through this joint corporate briefing, we hope to widely promote the growth potential of major domestic cybersecurity companies and discover investment opportunities.”
An industry insider stated, “This joint corporate briefing will be a great opportunity for security companies to strengthen communication with investors and raise interest in the industry,” and added, “As the importance of the security industry continues to grow, we plan to regularly hold joint corporate briefings to consistently highlight the necessity of investment in security technology and the market.”
