The National Assembly Intelligence Committee will hold a plenary session on the 7th to conduct an urgent inquiry regarding the 'Emergency Martial Law Incident.' Attending the inquiry will be Cho Tae-yong, Director of the National Intelligence Service, along with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Deputy Directors.
During the inquiry, lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties are expected to focus on allegations that President Yoon Seok-yeol, at the time of declaring emergency martial law on the 3rd, instructed Hong Jang-won, the 1st Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Service, to cooperate with the Counterintelligence Command to arrest People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon and Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.
