Cheonan City Council Member Lee Jongdam, Accused of Forcibly Molesting Colleague, Denies Charges at First Trial
Lee Jongdam, a member of the Cheonan City Council in Chungnam, who is accused of forcibly molesting a fellow council member, denied all charges at his first trial.
The Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Court, Criminal Division 1 (Presiding Judge Jung Eunyoung), held the first hearing on the charges of forcible molestation against Lee on the 6th.
Lee is accused of touching a female council member's body with his elbow during a group photo session at the main hall of the Cheonan City Council last January.
Lee's attorney stated, "It is true that there was contact, but it was accidental and there was no intent to molest," denying all charges.
Accordingly, the next hearing will include witness testimony from the victim, identified as A.
