Senko Completes Registration as Supplier to Chinese BOE
Senco, a specialist company in electrochemical gas sensors, announced on the 5th that it has been officially registered as the official gas detector supplier for BOE, the largest display manufacturer in China.
By being registered as a gas detector supplier for BOE, Senco has taken its first step into the Chinese semiconductor and display market. BOE is the largest display manufacturer in China and holds the world’s second-largest production volume of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs).
With the completion of this supplier registration, Senco will be able to supply fixed gas detectors to BOE’s production lines. A Senco representative stated that the supply of fixed gas detectors will begin in the first half of next year through the Chinese partner GXC (Guang Xian Cheng Technology Co., Ltd.).
Additionally, since June, Senco has been installing evaluation samples and conducting performance assessments at production facilities of major Chinese semiconductor companies such as Huawei, SMIC, YMTC, and Rongxin Semiconductor. Together with the Chinese partner GXC, Senco has already completed the establishment of a supply base in Wuhan City, and on-site inspections of local suppliers are being carried out sequentially.
As the United States intensifies semiconductor sanctions against China, there is a need to replace U.S.-made equipment installed in Chinese semiconductor production lines. Senco, together with local partners, has completed preparations to replace U.S.-made fixed gas detectors.
Ha Seung-cheol, CEO of Senco, said, “Starting with the BOE registration, supplier registrations for major Chinese semiconductor companies will be completed by early next year. Fixed gas detectors are essential for semiconductor and display production facilities, and Senco will become a necessary choice capable of replacing U.S.-made gas detectors in China.”
