Korail Labor-Management Negotiations Fail... Railroad Union to Begin Indefinite Strike Starting Tomorrow
The Korea Railroad Workers' Union (KRWU), which has announced a general strike demanding wage increases, resolution of wage arrears, and normalization of performance bonuses, will begin an indefinite general strike starting from the 5th.
On the 4th, the KRWU held marathon last-minute negotiations with Korail at the Korail Seoul Headquarters auditorium from 4 PM but failed to reach a compromise, so they announced that the strike will begin as scheduled from the first train operation on the 5th.
This strike by the KRWU is the first in 1 year and 3 months since September of last year.
