Cancellation of Events Including the 'Industrial Complex Embracing Culture'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was also unable to avoid the aftermath of the emergency martial law. On the 4th, the event titled ‘Industrial Complex Embracing Culture’ scheduled in Namdong Industrial Complex, Incheon, was canceled.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the 4th, Minister Yoo In-chon was scheduled to visit the Incheon Namdong National Industrial Complex in the afternoon along with officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to attend the ‘Incheon Namdong Industrial Complex Cultural Convergence Council Launch Ceremony.’
The plan to listen to the opinions of local young workers was canceled due to President Yoon Seok-yeol’s sudden declaration and lifting of emergency martial law the day before. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated, “The visit to Incheon Namdong Industrial Complex has been canceled.”

The initiative to create an ‘industrial complex rich in culture’ was concretized at the livelihood discussion meeting chaired by President Yoon in February. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced the ‘Plan to Create Industrial Complexes Embracing Culture’ last September. This event was a follow-up measure to the livelihood discussion meeting and the joint inter-ministerial plan.
