Resolution Demanding the Lifting of Martial Law Passed Unanimously by 190 Members Present
On the 4th, Speaker of the National Assembly Woo Won-sik passed a resolution demanding the lifting of martial law at the plenary session of the National Assembly, stating, "According to the National Assembly's decision, the President must immediately lift martial law," and declared, "Martial law is invalid."
Speaker Woo then urged, "The military and police who have entered the premises should leave the National Assembly building." Following his remarks, all military and police personnel inside the main building of the National Assembly exited the premises.
At the plenary session that day, the resolution demanding the lifting of martial law was unanimously passed with 190 members present.
