Ulsan City Holds Mental Health Project Achievement Conference
Mayor's Commendation for Mental Health Contributors and Sharing of Best Practices
Ulsan City will hold the '2024 Ulsan City Mental Health Project Performance Conference' at 3 PM on the 3rd at the Tani Bay Hotel in Dong-gu.
This performance conference was organized to share the achievements of Ulsan City's mental health projects and to explore future development directions.
The event will be attended by about 130 people, including officials from the Mental Health Welfare Center and project managers from city and district health centers, and will proceed in the order of △Commendation for meritorious service in mental health projects △Presentation of best practices △Humanities special lecture.
The best practice presentations include △‘Results of the Mental Health Survey of Single-Person Households in Ulsan Metropolitan City’ by An Seong-ho, team leader of the Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center △‘Mind Coaching Methods for Single Youth’ by Jin Ju-young, team leader of the Ulju-gun Mental Health Welfare Center △‘Youth Gambling Addiction Problem Solving Project Jojireugo (GO)’ by the youth university student promotion team (supporters) Gaechinese Team at the Jung-gu Integrated Addiction Management Support Center, which received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award.
In the following humanities special lecture, Park Yong-jun, editor-in-chief of Indigo Seowon, will give a lecture titled ‘In Search of the Meaning of Life,’ providing new insights and motivation to practitioners.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “In a situation where our country records the highest suicide rate among OECD countries, social interest in mental health and the role of the local community are very important,” adding, “It is meaningful to recognize and express gratitude for the hard work of project practitioners through this performance conference.”

They also added, “The Ulsan Metropolitan Mental Health Welfare Center provides 24-hour mental health counseling, so anyone who is struggling mentally or needs help is encouraged to seek assistance from the center at any time.”
